About Us
Europa United Yachting was founded in 2002 in Poznań with the intention of building safe and comfortable yachts for everyone to enjoy a comfortable and safe sailing experience.
The founder, Andrzej Walczak, is an experienced sailor and yacht constructor, he is also the founder and president of the Empatia Foundation, which arranges and manages water cruises for people with limited motor and/or sensory abilities. Mr. Walczak started his journey with yacht development by building and modifying the S/Y Empatia Polska to the needs of people with limited motor and/or sensory capacity, providing and invaluable foundation for the development of yacht comfort and safety standards.
In 2018, Europa United Yachting launched an R&D project, under which a new, innovative expedition S/Y Empatia II is being built. Our company stands by its mission by designing, building and chartering innovative, unconventional yachts.
The design and production is outsourced to Polish subcontractors. The company holds extensive contacts with entities within the yachting industry, both suppliers and potential clients. The company also owns and offers the S/Y Empatia Polska for charter– a specialized modified unit to provide a comfortable sailing experience for an entire family, including seniors and members with limited motor od sensory capabilities.

Are you planning on expanding to other cities or countries? What is the time frame for this expansion?
Having contacts with institutions and people interested in our yachts all over the world, we plan to operate on a global scale. Yachts will be chartered and sold on both – domestic and foreign markets. The Empatia II S/Y will be a great offer for individuals as well as various types of tourist, rehabilitation, governmental and non-governmental organizations all around the world.
Who is the target group for your product?
Our offer is mainly, but not solely directed to:
- Sailors, including sailing enthusiasts,
- Groups of friends or organized vacation trips for people looking for comfort and safety on a yacht,
- Multigenerational families – the realization of the sailing passion „junior to elderly”,
- Foundations and associations working with elderly and people with reduced mobility, private retirement homes and rehabilitation clinics,
- Hotels and resorts,
- Event companies.
Multigenerational families, groups of people looking for safety and comfort, foundations, centers and clinics are our market niche – thanks to our solutions, we are able to provide them with a higher level of comfort, safety and availability compared to the currently available competition on the market.
What's your business model? What is the source of profits?
Our goal is to promote sailing for everyone, regardless of age, experience, physical/medical condition and sailing skills. For this purpose, we design and build specialized yachts for charter and future sales. We earn money from chartering own watercraft and as a medium for chartering third party watercraft.
In the future we plan to additionally make money on the sale of new modern specialized steel hull yachts to individual clients and various types of institutions, as well as on the commercialization of intellectual property created during the project.
